Moniek's happy 11 year old life is torn apart when he is suddenly separated from his beloved family and swept into the devastating events of WW2 Poland, Caught between adversity and loneliness, he struggles through hunger, hiding, deportations to Bochnia ghetto and the Nazi concentration camps: Plaszow, Auschwitz and Birkenau. As the dangers increase with each terrifying stop, Moniek desperately grasps onto one single belief- he will soon reunite with his family again.
